About the role:
We’re looking for an experienced controller to oversee financial and accounting operations of technology at Santander Group. This role will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, compliance and internal controls to ensure financial stability and support business growth. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, financial management, with excellent analytical and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a day-to-day decision support point of contact to senior business finance stakeholders, delivering financial insight and recommendations for performance improvements
- Oversee financial statement reporting: planning, budgeting, forecasting, monthly business reviews and reporting outcomes from FP&A
- Cost Controlling Activities: Supervise the month end closing process. Drive Cost Optimization initiatives in partnership with Operations and Delivery Team.
- Develop and maintain internal controls ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- Work with process owners to implement improvements to systems, process and procedures
- Lead and develop high performing team, facilitate career progression, talent rotation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
- 8+ of experience in finance function
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to interact with executives and stakeholders
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting
- Advance English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Advance knowledge in Excel
