Role Summary

Third Federal Savings and Loan is seeking a Financial Planning, Forecasting, and Analytics Leader to report to our Chief Financial Officer. This manager will play a key role in shaping the company’s financial planning process and annual strategic business planning effort, providing enterprise-level insight on performance, forecasting, and balance sheet risk. The role will help guide strategic decision-making by assessing financial results relative to plan, evaluating market and economic conditions, and translating those factors into actionable recommendations that support near-term goals and position the organization for long-term success. A successful candidate will bring deep knowledge of financial markets, balance sheet management, and strategic planning, along with the leadership presence and judgment to influence executive discussions and help drive cross-functional alignment.


The position is hybrid out of at our Corporate Campus in Cleveland, OH.


Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leadership to provide the financial & analytical perspective in the development of the company’s strategy
  • Lead the effort required to model and iterate the results of the strategic planning objectives using internal production projections in conjunction with anticipated market rates and conditions
  • Drive the efforts to develop forecasting capabilities as output of our balance sheet modeling and analytics in partnership with senior leaders across the organization
  • Participate as a key leader in the company’s ALCO and Investment Committees, having the ability to interpret results and identify possible strategies to address risk management concerns
  • Provide analysis and interpretation of quarterly results to Investor Relations Manager and Chief Financial Officer to provide insight relevant to possible investor and analyst demands
  • Manage cross-functional relationships and participate in teams as a representative of Finance providing a perspective on our strategic goals with the ability to initiate and/or adapt to and communicate adjustments made in reaction to market and industry changes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field required; advanced degree and/or relevant professional designation preferred
  • Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams and influencing senior leaders across the organization
  • 8+ years of experience in banking, with a focus on financial planning, analytics and forecasting, with experience participating in strategic planning efforts
  • Expertise in asset-liability management, balance sheet strategy, liquidity and capital management, and stress testing within a banking environment
  • Strong command of financial markets, interest rate dynamics, and macroeconomic trends, with the ability to translate market developments into strategic recommendations
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to synthesize complex issues into clear synopses and/or recommendations
  • Strong knowledge of banking financial statements, financial modeling, forecasting methodologies, and performance analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through change, establish credibility across the organization, and drive execution in a dynamic and evolving business environment
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively at the executive and board level

Our anticipated pay range for this position is $140,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually. At Third Federal, we’re committed to transparency throughout the hiring process. The pay range listed is based on relevant market data, role responsibilities, and skills required for the position. Individual pay will be thoughtfully determined by a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors.
