  • This role is crucial for the development of robust financial models and the preparation of monthly financial reporting, particularly in the context of a pre-IPO environment. The candidate will have excellent modelling skills, a strong analytical mindset, and ideally an experience with preparatory pre-IPO workstreams and deliverables.

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

Budget preparation:

  • Support annual budget process, coordinating with department heads to ensure comprehensive financial plans.
  • Develop detailed budget model.
  • Analyze and challenge assumptions made during the budgeting process to ensure they align with strategic goals.
  • Present budget proposals to senior management 
  • Prepare quarterly and monthly forecasts, updating assumptions based on the latest inputs and strategic objectives.
  • Perform reforecasting as necessary, adjusting financial projections to reflect changes in assumptions.
  • Develop rolling forecasts to provide continuous visibility into future financial performance.

FP&A:

  • Develop detailed variance analysis to explain differences between actual results, forecasts, and budgets (month, YTD, comparable periods)
  • Create management reports and dashboards to provide insights into financial performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and ensure the accuracy of financial reports.

Financial Modelling:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance complex financial models to support strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Create and update pre-IPO financial models to assess potential valuation, liquidity needs, and capital structure scenarios.
  • Conduct sensitivity analysis to understand the impact of various business decisions and external factors on the company's financial performance.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure that financial models are aligned with accounting standards and company policies.

Pre-IPO Readiness:

  • Assist in preparing the financial sections, including historical financial data and future projections.
  • Support due diligence processes by providing necessary financial data and insights to external auditors and legal teams.
  • Participate in the preparation of investor presentations and other materials required for the IPO roadshow.
  • Work with external advisors and underwriters to ensure financial models meet the requirements for going public.

Strategic Support (Ad hoc):

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in evaluating potential M&A opportunities, including due diligence and integration planning.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and support key business initiatives.

Your ideal profile: 

Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, financial modelling, investment banking, or corporate finance.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS/TFRS for PAE 

Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, GSheets, pivot and financial modelling: building three-statement models is a must.
  • Rigorous review processes to identify and correct errors in financial models.
  • Ensuring that financial models produce consistent and reliable outputs over time.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ideally familiarity with data management and visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI, SQL for data extraction and import into , etc.
