Financial Planning & Analysis Manager - Seattle, WA (hybrid)

The FP&A Manager will be responsible for building and leading our financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, while also driving data-driven insights across the business. This is a highly visible role that partners closely with the CFO, Controller, and department leaders to inform key decisions and optimize financial performance.

Because of our size and growth stage, you’ll wear many hats—ranging from hands-on financial modeling to strategic decision support. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, communicates clearly, and balances being collaborative with being independent and self-directed. Here’s what you’ll love about the role:

  • Be the FP&A lead in a growing, mission-driven startup.
  • Work directly with the CFO, Controller, and leadership team on strategic decisions.
  • Gain broad exposure across new product launches and scaling initiatives.
  • Help shape a finance function that will grow alongside the company.

What You'll Do
  • Own FP&A Processes: Lead the company’s annual budget, quarterly reforecasts, and long-range planning.
  • Financial Modeling: Build and maintain dynamic models to evaluate business scenarios, product line economics, and investment opportunities.
  • Performance Analysis: Track KPIs and variance to plan; provide actionable insights to executives and stakeholders.
  • Business Partnering: Work directly with department leaders to support strategic initiatives, optimize spend, and improve ROI.
  • Board & Leadership Reporting: Prepare materials and analysis for executive and board meetings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a trusted advisor to product, marketing, sales, and operations leaders.
  • Process & Tools: Improve FP&A processes, tools, and reporting to enable scalable and timely insights.

Our job descriptions evolve with our business needs and priorities. Your role may include other tasks, projects, and team support.

Skills You Bring
  • Experience: 6–10+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, or related fields, ideally in a high-growth SaaS or technology environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets and strong modeling ability, with appetite to and ideally experience with implementing AI workflows to increase efficiency.
    • Expertise in reading/writing SQL at the level to, at minimum, interpret queries and ensure consistency of information,
    • Experience using BI tools to create alternate dashboards within existing database parameters/definitions (time frame, aggregation rather than filtering, creating new views based on existing definitions.)
  • Business Acumen: Strong grasp of SaaS metrics, unit economics, and financial levers that drive growth.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communicator who can present financial insights to both finance and non-finance audiences.
    • Highly collaborative partner who builds trust across the business.
    • Proactive problem solver with a solutions-first mindset.
    • Comfortable working independently in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.
  • Mindset: Low-ego, versatile and adaptable, and eager to contribute across levels and functions.

We are fueled by our Guiding Principles

How we work and who we are comes down to six guiding principles. These are the principles we hire for and hold ourselves to:

  • Customer obsession: Our customers' needs come first. Not eventually, not when it's convenient. Every decision runs through one question: does this make things better for the people who depend on us?
  • Take action, forge solutions: When there's a problem, we don't wait for permission to solve it. We move with urgency, think past the obvious fix, and build something that holds.
  • Be candid, yet respectful: Say what you think. Name the problem. Challenge the idea. We don't do polite silence, but we also don't do cheap shots. Honest, direct, respectful.
  • Disagree, then commit: The best decisions come from real debate. Say what you think, even if it's uncomfortable. Once we decide, we move together.
  • Be audacious, learn loudly: Take the big swings our mission demands, treat every outcome as impact or a lesson, and share what you learn openly so the whole company grows stronger.
  • Strive for excellence: We don't settle at "done." We ask whether it's right, whether it's better than last time, and whether it's something we'd be proud to put in front of a customer.
