We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and bring strong financial planning administration experience. This is not a role suited to candidates from provider or platform backgrounds alone. We are specifically seeking individuals who have supported Financial Planners or Wealth Managers directly and understand the advice process. 

This team works with a sophisticated and often complex client portfolio, including:

  • High net worth and ultra-high net worth clients
  • Family groups and intergenerational wealth structures
  • Trusts
  • Venture Capital Trusts (VCTs)
  • Enterprise Investment Schemes (EIS)
  • Estate planning arrangements

You will regularly liaise not only with clients but also with solicitors, accountants and other professional connections to ensure the best outcomes for clients.

You will be supporting advisers that manages approximately £150 million AUM, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a highly professional and technically interesting environment.

Key Responsibilities

    Adviser & Client Support
  • Prepare client review packs and valuation reports.
  • Ensure client and policy information is accurate and up to date within back-office systems.
  • Gather and maintain information from product providers.
  • Update client plans, contributions, withdrawals and transfer information.
  • Produce client correspondence and reports as required.
  • Create and maintain accurate client records and documentation.
  • Support advisers with meeting preparation and follow-up activity.
  • Administration & New Business Processing
  • Process new business applications efficiently and accurately.
  • Liaise regularly with product providers regarding client cases.
  • Monitor outstanding requirements and proactively chase information.
  • Prepare cases for submission and ensure all required documentation is complete.
  • Assist with plan information validation and reconciliation activities.
  • Manage day-to-day client and provider enquiries via telephone and email.
  • Client Service & Compliance
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times.
  • Ensure agreed client service standards are met.
  • Maintain compliance with FCA regulations and internal procedures.
  • Support Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and Consumer Duty requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Contribute ideas to improve processes and client outcomes.

About you

  • Previous Client Support / IFA Administration experience within a Financial Planning or Wealth Management firm.
  • Experience supporting Financial Planners directly.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence communicating with high-net-worth clients and professional introducers.T

Skills Required

  • At least 1 year's experience supporting Financial Advisers in a financial planning or wealth management environment
  • Previous experience in the financial services industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly organised and methodical approach to work
  • Strong IT and system skills
  • Customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade 5/C or above, or equivalent
  • Experience using Intelligent Office (IO) or similar back-office systems
  • Understanding of financial planning products and advice processes
  • Progress toward professional qualifications
