The Role
Company Description

IQ-EQ is a leading Investor Services group which combines global expertise with an unwavering focus on client service delivery. We support fund managers, global companies, family offices and private clients operating worldwide.

Job Description

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Crime Analyst to join our Financial Crime team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring robust financial crime controls are in place and operating effectively across our two regulated entities, helping to protect the integrity of our business and our clients.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with exposure to a wide range of financial crime risks and controls, while collaborating with stakeholders across the company.

What You'll Do -

The main purpose of the role is to ensure that financial crime controls are implemented effectively for the two regulated entities, G10 Capital Limited and Sapia Partners LLP. In particular:

  • Conduct periodic and trigger event reviews as part of the Firms’ ongoing Customer Due Diligence (CDD) obligations.
  • Conduct CDD for a wide range of corporate clients, including those with complex ownership structures such as funds, trusts, and multi-layered entities.
  • Conduct financial crime monitoring on the Firms’ Appointed Representatives and Funds under management.
  • Act as a point of contact for financial crime and AML queries, providing advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Draft and deliver internal training sessions or guidance materials on financial crime topics, supporting awareness and understanding across the business.
  • Review market abuse alerts through an automated system, escalating in line with agreed processes and procedures.
  • Review PEP alerts and conduct initial and ongoing Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) where appropriate.
  • Review suspected money laundering activity and, where appropriate, submit Internal Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) for review.
  • Engage independently with clients to clarify financial crime policy requirements and guide them through compliance expectations.
  • Apply professional curiosity and critical thinking when reviewing client information, ensuring that any gaps or inconsistencies are followed up with appropriate questions.
  • Keep abreast of UK, EU, and international developments in AML legislation, sanctions, and guidance from bodies such as HM Treasury, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), and the Joint Money Laundering Steering Group (JMLSG).
  • Build strong relationships across the IQEQ RegCom business.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

  • Industry-recognised qualification in Anti-Money Laundering, Financial Crime, or Customer Due Diligence (e.g. ICA, CAMS) preferred but not essential.
  • Experience conducting periodic and trigger reviews, particularly for complex corporate structures (e.g. funds, trusts).
  • Proven ability to communicate directly with clients and apply professional curiosity in due diligence.
  • Solid experience working with anti-financial crime processes at a FCA-regulated firm, ideally with a focus on funds.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Comfortable working to tight deadlines and managing competing priorities.
  • Desire to work in a dynamic, fast-growing company with the benefits of being part of a broader global Group serving blue-chip clients.

Why Join Us?

  • Hybrid flexibility - work from office 2 days a week.
  • A supportive, team-driven environment with opportunities to grow.
  • Benefits such as Pension scheme, life cover, income protection and many more.

If you're detailed oriented and thrive in a fast-paced setting, we'd love to hear from you!

At IQ-EQ, we thrive on expertise, collaboration, and innovation. This isn't just a job - it's an opportunity to be a part of something bigger.
