Financial Controller

A well-established and reputable international tax advisory and corporate services firm is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller to join their team in Nicosia. This position is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Controller who enjoys working in a fast-paced professional services environment. The successful candidate will oversee the internal finance function, lead the budgeting and reporting processes, and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. A strong understanding of Cyprus tax and VAT legislation, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team, are essential.

• Oversee and manage the internal accounting function, supervising one accounting assistant.
  
• Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records for the Group.
  
• Prepare weekly and monthly management accounts and reports.
  
• Handle all tax and VAT statutory filings and submissions.
  
• Monitor, evaluate, and enhance internal controls and financial processes.
  
• Develop and monitor annual budgets and consolidated financial forecasts.
  
• Maintain cash flow planning and cost control procedures.
  
• Ensure full compliance with all financial regulations and statutory obligations.
  
• Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
  
• Liaise with external auditors, clients, vendors, bankers, and other stakeholders.
  
• Support the Managing Director with various financial and strategic projects.
  

• Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, AIA, or LCCI).
  
• 2–4 years of experience in a similar financial control or internal finance role.
  
• Solid knowledge of Cyprus tax and VAT regulations.
  
• Strong organisational, analytical, and multitasking abilities.
  
• High level of computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  
• Fluency in both Greek and English.
  
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and perform under pressure.
  

• Competitive fixed salary between €26,000 – €35,000, based on experience and qualifications.
