We are looking for a results-driven and confident financial controller who wants a challenge and opportunity to increase their accounting knowledge while proving they are good enough to be on our team. Someone who thrives with deadlines whiles staying accurate. A person who loves the repetitious rhythm required for Finance while being able to pivot and adjust as the business grows and changes. This role requires a decisive problem solver, who desires recognition for productivity NOT office politics.


Duties for the financial controller will include managing accounting records for multiple entities, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring accuracy of financial information.

Your strategic planning and exceptional numerical proficiency as a financial controller will aid our organization in maintaining positive revenue and financial growth, formulating sound financial strategies, implementing proper internal controls, achieving organizational targets, and developing financial plans that support organizational strategy.


The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, a flair for numbers, be highly organized, and have excellent leadership skills. The noteworthy financial controller should streamline our accounting functions and operations, provide financial analysis and reports, train staff on business finance issues, promote regulatory compliance, and drive income generation.

What You'll Do

  • Support the ongoing management of financial activities for multiple business entities concurrently.
  • Prepare financial reports
  • Analyze financial data
  • Monitor internal controls
  • Oversee and prepare income statements
  • Participate in budgeting processes
  • Manage financial transactions
  • Streamline accounting functions and operations
  • Develop plans for financial growth
  • Evaluate and manage risk
  • Coordinate audit processes
  • Enforce company policies and procedures
  • Monitor communication; provide coaching and feedback
  • Conduct development and coaching session with direct reports
  • Some overnight travel to our corporate office may be needed from time to time (5% travel estimate)
  • Stay current on the latest industry trends and techniques
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Ability to manage financial activities for multiple business entities concurrently.
  • A passion for leading teams and developing people
  • At least 5 years of Financial Controller expertise
  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent educational and on the job experience
  • Proven experience in finance management
  • Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals
  • Auditing experience
  • Compliance oriented
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Expert Excel skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Superior attention to detail and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels in the organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Management and Leadership Skills
  • Comfort and experience being in an innovative start-up environment
  • A willingness to roll-up your sleeves and get work done
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
