About the Role
As our Financial Controller you will be part of the plant's leadership team, which is responsible to build up a plant in the Contract Manufacturing Business for a well-known customer. In this role you will be supporting the plant manager in any commercial-related topic. You will implement all Magna-related finance processes by aligning all required systems and processes in accordance with our Magna reporting requirements and guidelines.
Your Responsibilities

  • Manage Accounting, Treasury and CAPEX processes
  • Financial Reporting: prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports according to relevant accounting standards (e.g. US GAAP, SOX, etc ...) as well as Magna's accounting and control processes
  • Budgeting and forecasting including the upload of BP values into SAP, re-budgeting (if required) and budget-to-actual analysis
  • Financial analysis: prepare and provide financial reports to support decision-making and assess financial performance (KPI analysis, project expense analysis, cost tracking, etc ...)
  • Establish systems, forms and procedures for general accouting activities based on the relevant accounting standards
  • Support tax, ISO/TS and audit initiatives
  • Coordinate, evaluate and advise accounts payable associate's and general ledger accountant's tasks
  • Interface to payroll administration, payroll data exchange and submission approval
  • Develop policies as needed (e.g. expense reimbursement policies, etc ...)
  • Prepare annual statements/reporting and complete Magna tax package (e.g. CMF report, annual sales tax and annual property tax returns, etc ...)
  • Compile and submit governmental surveys and reports


Who we are looking for

  • Finance expert with a minimum of 5 years related operational experience within Accounting and Controlling (Accounting experience is a must, Controlling experience beneficial)
  • Experience in SAP
  • Inventory control, cost estimating and control background necessary
  • Knowledge of SOX mandates, financial reporting requirements as well as knowledge of federal and state tax laws
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and analytical skills
  • Profound knowledge of Microsoft Office Software to be able to track and analyze spreadsheets


Your preferred qualifications

  • BS degree in Accounting is preferred
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
