What you’ll do

• Financial Governance & Compliance: Lead the financial control environment across 10 entities in multiple countries, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting aligned with IFRS, Group Financial Guidelines, and local regulations. You will oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, statutory reporting, and audit readiness.
• Team Leadership & Coordination: Manage and coordinate a geographically dispersed team including Accountants in Morocco, Poland, Hungary, and France, as well as Office Managers in other entities. Foster a culture of compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement while developing talent and driving transformational initiatives.
• Stakeholder Management & Problem Solving: Take ownership and proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex financial issues timely. Act as a trusted partner ensuring balance sheet integrity and supporting audit processes with clear explanations and documentation.
• Treasury & Risk Management: Oversee treasury operations including cash flow, working capital forecasting, FX risk management through hedging strategies, and bank account management in line with Group treasury policies to maintain financial stability.
• Process Harmonisation & Improvement: Drive harmonisation and standardisation of finance processes (R2R, P2P, OTC) across the region to enhance governance, efficiency, and compliance.
• Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required to coordinate with teams and stakeholders across the 10 countries, with a primary presence expected 3 times per week in the Madrid office.

What you’ll bring

Must-haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• Progressive accounting and finance experience experience in a leadership role managing multi-country operations.
• Excellent knowledge of IFRS, local statutory requirements, and experience with SAP ERP systems.
• Proven track record in financial governance, compliance, audit management, and treasury operations including FX risk management.

Nice-to-haves:

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Experience managing geographically dispersed teams and coordinating across multiple countries.
• Demonstrated success in process improvement and standardisation initiatives.
• Familiarity with tax compliance, transfer pricing, and intercompany transactions in diverse regulatory environments.
