Finance Operations is part of the ASML Global Business Services (ABS) organization, offering transactional services for Finance, HR&O, Sourcing & Procurement, IT, CRE, and Sales. The organization is supported by a centralized Capability Center, Master Data and Reporting Operations.

Our mission is to deliver world-class transactional and operational support services organized around End-to-End (E2E) processes. Within Finance, we have established the E2E cycles, Record-to-Report, Invoice-to-Pay, Market-to-Cash and Employee Financial Services.

As a financial controller, you will be part of our Finance Operations team responsible for System and UF Sales accounting including its related processes. You will bring hands-on and pragmatic expertise, know how to ensure the right accounting, drive continuous process improvements and support the transition to our future ERP system. In this role, you will be facing demanding challenges and enjoy the freedom to put together creative solutions.


Roles and responsibilities

Within Finance Operations, you will join a highly-motivated team that has a relentless focus on process optimization and automation. You will support us in our transformation to deliver world-class E2E Record-To-Report process that ensures (external) compliance and supports management accounting for (better) decision-making.

As a financial controller, you will:

  • Ensure appropriate accounting (US GAAP, IFRS & local statutory) and proper and timely execution of sales-related accounting for ASML products (systems and options)
  • Maintain and control related balance sheets
  • Support the accounting and reporting related to (complex) contracts
  • Support monitoring of the execution, progress and balance positions related to volume price agreements using SAP, Spotfire, Mendix and SAPRAR tooling
  • Perform period end close activities
  • Proactively seek for continuous improvements in the execution of activities, improving efficiency and quality
  • Driving compliance and performing internal (SOx) control activities
  • Develop and demonstrate strong understanding of the sales processes, reflected in the reports, analysis and commentaries provided

Experience

To help us achieve our mission, you will need 3+ years relevant experience in finance, preferably in financial control or auditing environment. In addition, you possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in finance, controlling, economics or accounting
  • Previous work experience in an international environment
  • Knowledge and experience with US GAAP and IFRS
  • Experience with executing SOx controls
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with SAP
  • Experience with process mapping and process redesign
