Summary
The Financial Consultant Manager leads a team of Financial Consultants focused on client engagement, advisor consultations, and business growth. This role is responsible for driving sales results, developing and coaching talent, and fostering a high-performing, client-focused culture. The manager partners closely with internal stakeholders to execute sales strategies, improve client outcomes, and support the acquisition and retention of high-value clients. In addition to leading the team, the manager actively participates in sales activities and serves as a role model for consultative selling and client engagement.
Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Financial Consultants by providing ongoing feedback, performance management, and career development support.
Execute sales and lead generation strategies focused on attracting high-value and high-net-worth clients and increasing advisor consultations.
Foster a culture of continuous coaching by developing sales competencies, consultative selling skills, and independent decision-making capabilities across the team.
Monitor inbound and outbound client interactions, providing actionable coaching and feedback to improve performance and results.
Actively participate in the sales process by handling client calls, initiating outreach, and managing a limited book of business.
Partner with peers and business leaders to establish, track, and communicate progress toward sales and business objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal partners to support business growth and client outcomes.
Analyze client feedback, market trends, competitive activity, and Voice of Client (VOC) insights to identify opportunities for improvement.
Resolve complex client issues and guide the team in delivering a consultative, client-focused experience.
Support departmental initiatives, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience.
Prior people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development.
Experience in sales, business development, client acquisition, or a consultative sales environment.
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
This position requires regulatory licensing and/or registration as determined by Compliance based on role-specific responsibilities.
Preferred:
Graduate degree.
Active FINRA Series 7, Series 66, and Series 24 licenses.
