About this PositionAs a member of the Finance Business Partner team, this position will assist management in driving financial performance, providing strategic insights, and supporting decision-making processes across various business units within the organization, with primary focus on overall Enterprise support - areas included but not limited to: recruiting & licensing, operations, marketing, overhead, and executive initiatives. Supporting management and working closely with senior leadership and stakeholders, this position will be a Business Partner financial analyst responsible for monthly analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements.Location: Georgia based; hybrid schedule - onsite in the Duluth, Georgia office and remotely multiple days each week.
Salary: The pay range for this role is 75K-90KResponsibilities & Qualifications
Primary Responsibilities:
- Facilitate with managers throughout the company on the creation of detailed income and expense budgets and reforecasts. Provide ongoing support to those departments on understanding their revenue and expenses and how they emerge in our financial results. Gain knowledge and understanding of current events within those areas in the company and matriculate that information within financial group to ensure transparency of future revenue and expense trends and accurate earnings forecasts.
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and as needed analysis of revenue/expense variances relative to prior period and budgeted results. Determine and document variances. Justify results ensuring proper treatment of accounting and SOX compliance. Communicate findings to management.
- Create accounting journal entries related to expense accruals, account reclasses, allocations, and other ad hoc needs. Construct monthly account reconciliations and comply with balance sheet controls established by SOX requirements. Assist manager with company allocation tracking.
- Assist with models, metrics, and KPIs to analyze trends, forecast results, and develop annual budget of various product earnings and KPIs. Assist manager and area VP with ad hoc analysis and project ROI tracking.
- Maintain future financial impact in Planful financial system. Build reports and dashboards necessary to give business leaders relevant data on demand.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required.
Experience:
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, business partnering, or a related finance role.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple business units or functions.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and financial close processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial modeling tools; experience with ERP or reporting and planning systems (e.g., Workday Adaptive, Microsoft Office Connect, Planful) is a plus.
- Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Proven ability to identify opportunities for cost efficiencies, revenue growth, and process improvement.
- An effective communicator able to translate financial analysis into strategic recommendations for leadership.
- Strong interpersonal skills to partner with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making at various levels of the organization.
