POSITION SUMMARY
As a Finance partner, this position provides information to management through business modeling and financial analysis; ad hoc data requests and problem solving; researching and analyzing accounting data; and preparing periodic reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Capital Control- Prepares Authority For Expenditure (AFE’s) for release of capital. Tracks/Audits expenses on AFE projects submitted, and balances capital with available capital spend
- Provides management with planning information by compiling and analyzing financial data from disparate sources; providing forecasts; and providing information on results against targets
- Analyzes and tracks monthly financial reports versus budget and prior year performance
- Contribute to budgeting process with trend analysis and economic modeling
- Performs a variety of financial analysis in response to management inquires or to facilitate decision making; researches and prepares ad hoc reports as directed
- Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations and explaining processes and techniques
- Reconciles assigned accounts each period and resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field with relevant experience preferably in financial analysis, strategic planning, or budgeting and forecasting
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial statements
- Must have advanced knowledge in Excel, and working knowledge in MS Access, PowerPoint and Word
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities
- Experience working with large and complex datasets
- Must be willing to adapt to a dynamic business environment, balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
- Comfortable working independently and in cross-functional teams
Ability to communicate information and ideas in a clear manner to all levels of management, both orally and in writing
