The Marcus & Millichap Montreal office is seeking a dependable intermediate level real estate financial analyst. This is a full-time position working directly under the regional manager.
Excellent analytical, attention to detail, and professional business writing skills are required. Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Real Estate, Mathematics, or Economics. Superior computer skills are a must; candidate should possess a high comfort level with Argus and Microsoft Excel.
The Real Estate Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support services to the brokerage team which will include preparing documents, deal transaction management, Argus modeling, performing market research, analyzing comparable properties and sales trends and preparing financial analysis for presentation to clients. Professionalism and attention to detail are a must.
The Real Estate Financial Analyst will be a resourceful contributor to the team who can operate in a fast paced and demanding environment, take direction, and multi-task under tight deadlines.
Duties will include:
- Review financial statements and operating information
- Prepare financial models for commercial real estate valuation
- Gather and research market comparables
- Track market trends such as rental growth, recent transactions, new development and leasing activity
- Work with the marketing team to prepare marketing and promotional materials by supplying the required financial/research material
- Respond to requests from team members for property information
- Database Management
Job Requirements:
- Proficient use of Argus Enterprise
- Must have knowledge of real estate assets
- Bachelor's degree, or higher
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in finance or real estate
- Financial analysis and underwriting
- Exceptional analytical skills
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be highly organized and detail oriented
- Works well under tight deadlines
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to handle sensitive material and maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Must be fully bilingual
