Overview 

We are looking for a dynamic Financial Analyst to provide financial analysis and insights across Carbon Direct Inc.  A successful candidate combines stellar analytical skills with a strong understanding of financial principles.  You are detail-oriented, intellectually curious, interested in solving challenging problems, and able to collaborate effectively with team members across departments.  You will report to our VP of Finance.  Although a background in climate work is a plus but not a prerequisite, a passion for solving climate problems is required.

Responsibilities 

  • Own monthly financial analysis and reporting for all departments and business lines, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to inform key decisions and drive company strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with the VP of Finance on budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and cash management.
  • Develop reporting to track key performance metrics.
  • Work cross-functionally on financial planning, pricing, margin analysis, and benchmarking.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and infrastructure.

Qualifications 

  • Experience in a financial analyst role; experience working for a fast-growing, entrepreneurial organization is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; major in finance, business, economics, or related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency with financial modeling and knowledge of GAAP including key areas such as revenue recognition are critical.
  • Proven analytical abilities, well-developed communication and organizational skills, and keen attention to detail are vital.

Salary

$108,000-$132,000
