BRIEF STATEMENT OF THE PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION

The FP&A team’s mission is to operate as an essential Business Partner to Therapy Brand’s Leaders by offering strategic & financial analysis, advice and deliver the best possible insights for decision-making.

The Senior Financial Analyst position will serve as a key member of the business support and analysis areas of the team and aim to continuously improve towards the following goals:

  • Establish trust and deliver value through accurate, timely and relevant reporting, analysis and forecasting.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our Leader’s business needs so the FP&A team can help them decide, plan, and execute their mission.
  • Work with Reporting and Accounting teams to improve our processes and systems so they can enable fast, in-depth and accurate insight.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:

As a Senior Financial Analyst at Therapy Brands, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial planning and analysis function within the organization. Your responsibilities will include:


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Preparation of Executive-Level Financial Packages: Take a leading role in supporting the Directors of FP&A in preparing comprehensive month-end packages. These should provide a detailed encapsulation of monthly results and forward-looking insights, specifically tailored for senior and executive-level business leaders.
  • Advanced Financial Reporting and Dashboard Development: Design and implement sophisticated ad-hoc financial reports and dashboards. This involves leveraging advanced analytical techniques to enhance the effectiveness of forecasting, trending, and in-depth analysis of business performance and results.
  • Strategic Budgeting and Forecasting Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the FP&A team and divisional leaders to develop a strategic approach to the annual budget and ongoing forecasts. This includes preparing and presenting detailed analyses of projected and actual results to management, incorporating risk assessments and scenario planning.
  • Insight-Driven Reporting for Actionable Decision-Making: Develop and refine comprehensive reports and dashboards. These should be designed to not only present data but also provide deep, actionable insights to stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Data Accuracy Leadership: Take a leadership role in partnering with cross-functional teams. Focus on enhancing the accuracy and reliability of data systems, improving data extraction methods, and ensuring data integrity across various platforms.
  • Innovation and System Improvement Initiatives: Drive innovation in operational and financial performance by leading initiatives aimed at improving data visibility. Collaborate proactively with cross-functional management to adopt and integrate new systems, tools, and technologies that enhance business processes.
  • Expertise in Complex Business Functions: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the organization's complex business functions. Gain expertise in specific areas or functions and related activities, positioning yourself as a key knowledge resource within the company.
  • Operational Support and Business Solution Development: Provide advanced operational support on complex processes. Work closely with business operations and management to identify opportunities and develop strategic solutions to meet current and future business needs, including process optimization and efficiency enhancement.
  • Mentorship and Team Development: Share expertise and knowledge to build a stronger, more capable team that can effectively tackle complex analytical challenges and contribute to the development of the business support team.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization. Communicate complex financial information and insights effectively, ensuring clarity and understanding among diverse audiences, including non-financial stakeholders.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree(s) and advanced degree(s) preferred with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of related Financial Planning & Analysis experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills required to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on business issues.
  • Expert level proficiency in Excel; comfortable working with Power Query, macros, nested formulas, etc.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint; can easily create and edit professional corporate PowerPoint decks.
  • PowerBI, SQL, DAX, and/or Python experience strongly preferred.
  • Proactive and takes initiative, willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
  • Highly collaborative team player with the ability to work with members of the FP&A team and cross-functionally with divisional leaders.
  • Ability and strong desire to work in and learn dynamic financial systems.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to self-review work.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

Desired:

  • SaaS experience a plus.
  • Previous experience with FP&A software solutions, such as Adaptive or Workday Financials a plus.
