Job Summary

PRG is seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive Financial Analyst to join our lean, fast-paced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This is a hands-on role with broad responsibilities spanning financial analysis, management reporting, forecasting, and cross-functional business support.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in finance and accounting, sound analytical judgment, and the ability to independently interpret financial results and identify underlying business drivers. We are looking for a resourceful self-starter who takes ownership of deliverables, thrives in an environment where priorities can shift quickly, and consistently produces accurate, thoughtful analysis under tight deadlines.

Success in this role requires strong financial acumen, intellectual curiosity, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across the organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Financial Accuracy & Month-End Close: Partner closely with Accounting and Project Management to ensure financial results are accurately recorded and reported in a timely manner. Proactively investigate discrepancies, validate financial information, and support necessary adjustments.
  • Ad Hoc Financial Analysis: Perform financial and operational analyses to support management requests, strategic initiatives, and business decisions, often requiring quick turnaround times.
  • Management Reporting & Executive Presentations: Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, executive-level PowerPoint presentations, and business performance reviews, translating complex financial information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Salesforce & Pipeline Management: Collaborate with Sales and Project Management teams to ensure Salesforce opportunities are accurate and up to date, including project values, timing, probability, and other key inputs supporting revenue forecasting and reporting.
  • Financial Performance & Variance Analysis: Analyze actual results against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods, identifying underlying performance drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Support annual budgeting and recurring forecasting processes, including financial modeling, data gathering, assumption validation, and analysis of business trends.
  • Cross-Functional Business Support: Partner with Sales leadership, Project Management, Accounting, and Operations to address business needs, evaluate performance, and provide timely financial insights.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; graduate degree preferred.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in FP&A, management consulting, or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of finance and accounting, including financial statements, accrual accounting, revenue recognition, profitability analysis, and the relationships between financial and operational performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently analyze financial information, critically evaluate results, identify inconsistencies, and draw sound conclusions grounded in fundamental financial principles.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, data analysis, and working with large datasets.
  • Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand the underlying financial drivers of business performance rather than relying solely on automated outputs or reporting tools.
  • Experience and familiarity with Power BI and Salesforce.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, reliable financial information.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and consistently meet tight deadlines.
  • Highly organized, resourceful, and self-motivated, with a willingness to take on responsibilities beyond a narrowly defined scope.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and organizational levels.
  • Comfortable working independently in a lean team environment that requires flexibility, accountability, and a hands-on approach.
  • Ability to commute to PRG's Van Nuys office on a hybrid work schedule.
