As a GE Appliances Financial Analyst (Sourcing) you’ll be at the heart of critical financial functions, shaping accurate forecasting and managing vital assets. This role is critical to ensuring the accurate tracking and forecasting of our $6 billion in material costs. You will play a key role in owning and optimizing the Supplier Held Tooling process, while also contributing to our supplier risk evaluation efforts and partnering with the COE team on overall risk management. You will also be a key contributor to our annual Standard setting process. You'll collaborate with teams across the organization, from Finance Accounting to Data and Technology, to ensure seamless financial operations and drive insightful business decisions.PositionFinancial Analyst (Sourcing)LocationUSA, Louisville, KY
How You'll Create Possibilities
- Owns PAVM & Sourcing S&OP reporting, maintenance, and enhancements to ensure forecasting and actuals on $6B+ of material.
- Acts as the Finance owner of Supplier Held Tooling, overseeing the annual audit process of $90M+ SHT assets and coordinating with the FA team on CIP asset capitalization.
- Is a key contributor to overall standards process, owning consolidation and communication of Buyer Review File and partnering with DT on key tableau reports & updates.
- Performs analytical reporting, focusing on cost-out opportunities and analyzing key model BOM costs across all PLs. Acts as the centralized reporting contact for PL sourcing finance roles and partners with our Sourcing Ops team.
- Reports changes to our suppliers' Rapid Ratings FHR scores and partners with the COE team to enhance usability between GEA's risk management tool and Rapid Ratings.
- Performs monthly closing responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
- Final PAVM report
- Supplier Quality Closing Pack
- D&P report consolidation
- Expense PO reporting
- Supplier Risk closing pack
- COD True ups
- ADM reporting
- PL & ad hoc analysis support
- Owns supplier quality budgeting, forecasting, & reporting on +$7M of base costs.
- Partners with Sourcing FP&A Finance Manager & Finance Data Analytics team on key projects
- Completes ad hoc projects/requests from Sourcing Finance Sr. Director.

Educational and Experiential Background
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience with monthly financial close processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to identifying issues, proposing solutions, and taking ownership of projects
- Solid understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards and financial principles
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to stakeholders at various levels
Preferred Education/Experience
- Financial Development Program graduate.
- MBA graduate.
- Strong systems skills, i.e. Excel, Oracle/ERP, Hyperion, Tableau.
