The Role

Report to:  Commercial FP&A Director (who reports to Japan CFO)

Responsibilities:

  • FPA: Execute monthly management reporting process and timely provide clear, concise and accurate performance analyses and reports
  • FPA: Assist Commercial FP&A Director and Japan CFO in building-up monthly/quarterly financial outlook, Annual Budget (perfornance target) and mid-term strategic plan for Japan Commercial Business
  • FPA: Forecast/analyze bookings of revenue, pricing, cost & expenses, working capital and headcount
  • Investment Management : Build-up Annual Capex Budget via appropriate project jusitications and prioritization. Monitor and support timely execution of project spends and ensure realization of expected ROI (in NPV and IRR) via approprate communication with Project Managers and BU/Function Leaders.
  • PFM : Secure appropriatenss in revenue recognition and provide due supprt in Financial/SOX Audit
  • PFM : Understand contracts with customers and ensure consistency with Corporate/BU policies
  • PFM : Support and ensure timely billing and cash collections
  • Overall : Timely provide appropriate, value-adding decision-making support services to Japan Commercial (T&AS) Businesses
  • Overall : Drive busiess growth and productivity improvements via monitoring Financial & Operational KPIs, analyzing trends, and suggesting corrective actions in case of deviation vs target
  • Overall : Proactively communicate and collaborate with other departments at Finance, other relevant Functions & BUs, not only in daily operations but also in ad-hoc initiatives or taskforce activities.
  • Overall : Maintain effective communication with Global BU Finance & Global FP&A, timely provide requested report and analyses, and answer to any questions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent)
  • 3-5 years of professional experience at FP&A, Business/Project Finance or Financial Reporting
  • Willingness in skill/knowledge-sharing and partnering with leaders/colleagues at other BUs/Functions
  • Good communication skills both in Japanese and English
  • IT literacy : Advanced skills in Excel,  Hands-on experience on ERP system (SAP, etc.) and other analytical tools (Hyperion, etc.)

Preferred:

  • Professional experience in Healthcare or IT Industry
  • Finance certification such as MBA, CPA, CMA.
