Financial Analyst Intern

As an intern, you will work collaboratively on challenging projects with high impact during this full-time (40 hours per week) internship opportunity directly related to Gen’s business strategy in a dynamic and global environment.

About the role

As a Finance Intern supporting the Customer Success Management (CSM) team, you will have the opportunity to apply financial principles to real-world business challenges in a software-subscription environment. You will work closely with our FP&A team to develop financial models, analyze key customer success metrics, and provide insights that drive strategic decision-making. Your ideas and creativity will be valued as we continuously improve our financial processes and business insights.

During your internship, you will receive hands-on training in strategic planning, forecasting, and performance analysis specific to customer success. You will have the opportunity to shadow experienced FP&A professionals, attend weekly team meetings, and collaborate with stakeholders across finance and CSM. This role provides valuable exposure to CSM finance, offering a dynamic, fast-paced learning experience in a leading consumer software company.

What You Will Do in This Role

• Assist with financial modeling
• Provide general analysis and insight support
• Collaborate with other finance leads and stakeholders to model the impact of business decisions
• Dig into operational and financial metrics to identify root causes of changing results

• Support on modelling development and process improvements

What You’ll Need to be Successful in this Role

• Finance, Accounting, Economics or related major
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Interest in financial analysis and modeling
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge or an understanding of visualization tools and or SQL a plus
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask
• Highly motivated with a desire to learn

$41,600.00 - $62,400.00

The pay range depicts a base salary range for all positions except commission-based roles.  The pay range for commission-based roles represents On Target Earnings (annual base salary + target annual commission).  Additional compensation elements may be offered including an opportunity for bonus incentives and also competitive benefits package.  Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as the external/internal market demand, location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
