About the Job 

Financial Analyst to support the Global Credit functions of LS& Co. Preferred candidate must have professional experience in a large global company setting. Candidate must be able to analyze financial statements, understand risk mitigation and various instruments/vehicles to secure customer credit lines. Advance reporting skills needed to support management reporting. Prefer experience in SAP or equivalent ERP. Prefer 4 year degree in Finance and/or Accounting.

  • Investigate credit escalations, provide clear and timely responses outlining reasons to support order releases or reasons for maintaining a credit hold.
  • Provide decisions for business critical credit release requests or recommend a decision and escalate to appropriate level using delegated authorities and credit policy. 
  • Act as a liaison between corporate controller group and internal business partners.
  • Adhere to delegated authorities and credit policy for release requests received from the business.
  • Maintain consistent standards of granting credit by enforcing the global credit policy, consistent standards for granting credit, reviewing open credit limits, and setting risk ratings.
  • Establish credit limits of customers/prospects through credit reports, financials, payment history, online articles, and firsthand knowledge provided by the local teams.
  • Analysis of bad debt provision and support write-off process and risk evaluation
  • Maintain strong partnerships across the matrix with the business, credit team, and corporate controller group.
  • Understand variety of processes, priorities, and projects across Credit, OTC and business functions.

About You 

  • Ability to handle successfully multiple strategic regional customer portfolios on a daily basis.
  • Ability to strategically analyze customer/portfolio risk and make recommendations based upon current market and Company business growth plans.
  • In depth knowledge of Bad Debt and Revenue Recognition Accounting rules and ability to use within the assessment of Company reserve calculations.
  • Advanced financial analysis and formal written review skills.
  • Advanced financial reporting skills.
  • Experience with internal, external and SOX auditing requirements and report validation.
  • Possess strong process, system and issue resolution skills, while taking into account competing priorities and deadlines within the business.
  • Strong business acumen, including advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team and /or Project leadership experience.
  • Experience with SAP or other large ERP platform in the area of Credit and Finance.
  • Foreign currency experience preferred.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Finance and/or Accounting preferred.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $XXX-$XXX. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
