Introduction to the job
As a financial analyst consolidation, you will play a key part in the consolidation and reporting processes of ASML and will contribute to our world-class Finance Operations department.
In this dynamic and fast-paced international environment, you will be responsible for executing the consolidation and managing both external and internal reporting processes for the ASML group, ensuring strict compliance with US GAAP and IFRS standards. Additionally, you will continuously identify and implement improvements that enhance the quality and efficiency of our consolidation and reporting processes, fostering our culture of excellence and innovation.
Role and responsibilities
As a financial analyst consolidation, you will join the Consolidation team which is part of the ASML Business Services (ABS) Finance Operations organization responsible for accounting of the financials, executing internal controls, supporting with data insights and providing the story behind the financial figures. You will report to the team leader of Consolidation and Reporting and will interact with other (Finance) departments as well as external parties, such as auditors. You will play a role in shaping the future of our financial operations and driving the success of ASML.
In this role, you will be jointly responsible for:
- Worldwide consolidation: Perform the consolidation of financial data of the ASML group, ensuring timely and accurate internal and external financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS
- Analytical reviews: Conduct comprehensive analytical reviews at the consolidated level to interpret financial results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
- Process improvements: Identify and implement continuous improvements for the consolidation processes and optimize related tools for greater efficiency
- SOX compliance: Perform SOX controls within the consolidation process to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigate financial risks
- External reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and collaborate with external auditors to ensure transparency and accuracy in reporting
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including Accounting, Tax, and Treasury, to support financial strategies and data-driven decision-making
Education and experience
- A Master’s degree in accounting or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably at a Big 4 firm or in a controlling role within a complex organization
- Strong understanding of financial accounting processes and experience of leveraging automated solutions effectively
- Experience with relevant IT systems and tools (e.g., SAP, Wdesk, BPC, Spotfire)
