We’re looking for a Group Financial Accountant to support accurate, timely, and increasingly automated financial reporting for our Holding company and global consolidated Group. Based in Amsterdam, you’ll join a high-performing team and play a key role in the monthly close, external audit, annual reporting, and CSRD readiness, while helping improve processes through better use of data.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own parts of the monthly close for both Holding and Group: prepare and review journals, reconciliations and analyses to ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance with IFRS/Dutch GAAP.
- Advance CSRD readiness: support the Group Financial Controller with data, controls and documentation for 2027 CSRD reporting.
- Own key components of global external audit deliverables, acting as the primary finance contact for specific audit areas.
- Prepare sections of the Annual Report & Statutory Accounts: draft notes, compile disclosures and align with stakeholders across the Group.
- Automate and improve using a data-driven approach to identify, prioritise and implement process automation, standardisation and reporting efficiencies.
- Contribute to finance transformation and reporting improvement projects; from policy updates to system enhancements, controls and reporting changes.
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO or equivalent) in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related field.
- This role is suited to someone with 2-3 years of audit, financial accounting or reporting experience, ideally gained in Big 4 or a financial services organisation
- Working knowledge of IFRS and Dutch GAAP (formal study or practical application both welcomed).
- Strong toolkit in Excel (lookups, pivots, modelling; automation a plus).
- Interest in leveraging data and automation tools to improve finance processes (experience with tools such as Power Query, Alteryx or BI is a plus).
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills across multidisciplinary topics; proactive, “own the outcome” mindset.
- Clear, concise communicator in English who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
