Job Overview:
The Financial Accountant is a member of the Financial Control team within the Finance Department. This role ensures timely and accurate reporting of AAC-USA financials to regulators and management.
This position is based in our Chicago office and requires a min of 3 days per week onsite in office.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare futures and equities financial regulatory reporting: including monthly Financial and Operational Combined Uniform Single (FOCUS) report, daily capital computation, daily segregation and secured reporting, weekly customer reserve and PAB computations
  • Prepare daily monitoring metrics reporting related to the financial regulatory reporting, including reconciling and forecasting residual interest
  • Maintain financial regulatory reporting calendar and ensure all required internal and external reporting deadlines are met
  • Work closely with other departments to assess downstream impact of their processes on the financial regulatory reporting, including investigating fluctuations in daily reporting
  • Prepare and review select balances sheet reconciliations, including month end reclassifications and analytics for regulatory reporting
  • Participate in financial, regulatory and internal audit processes
  • Assist with writing, reviewing and maintaining relevant standard operating procedure

Basic Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of financial services industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Data analysis skills
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage large volumes of data
  • Strong organizational skills, with an ability to manage deadline driven priorities
  • Proven Excel skills with the ability to write Macros

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Broker-Dealer public auditing experience
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred, NetSuite a plus
  • Series 27 license and/or other FINRA license/s

Annual base salary, not including discretionary bonus eligibility: $80,000
