About the Role:
The Strategic Finance Senior Associate will help scale our financial reporting, analytics, and planning capabilities and ensure we are making efficient, data-driven decisions. You will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams to develop financial forecasts and budgets, as well as operational goals, and contribute to key strategic and operational initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Director, Strategic Finance, you will play an important role in making sure the Finance Team has a deep understanding and real-time view on the financial and operational health of the company.
What you'll do:

  • Support and help improve the planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, working closely with the team to develop financial and operational goals
  • Deliver, maintain and improve insightful reporting on KPIs, growth trends and competitive positioning for executive leadership to ensure the business is operating smoothly and efficiently
  • Provide data-driven insights and analytics through reports and dashboards in order to facilitate decision making and influence strategy by monitoring metrics and goals
  • Analyze operational initiatives that have a strategic and/or financial impact on the business
  • Able to build models from scratch and improve existing models. Ability to manipulate and harness large data sets via pivot tables, etc.
  • Optimize and improve on financial forecasting accuracy through advanced modeling and business partnership
  • Maintain and update the company's operating model on a monthly basis and support the preparation of key monthly & quarterly reporting deliverables, including Board Meeting presentations and investor reporting
  • Work closely with Accounting on month-end close to perform variance analysis and understand the "why" behind actuals to better inform forecasts
  • Optimize processes to help the finance function scale as the organization grows

What you've done and enjoy doing:

  • Relevant work experience in Strategic Finance or FP&A at a fast-paced company, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Equity Research, or Consulting
  • Exceptional financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
  • Expert knowledge of financial statement analysis and corporate finance concepts
  • Highly analytical and interested in complex data analysis
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; able to move quickly and accurately
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; collaborative working style; able to build trusted relationships with all cross-functional business partners
  • Self-starter, inquisitive nature, attention to detail, diligence, work ethic, a learning mindset, positive attitude, and willingness to embrace unstructured environments and challenges
  • Ability to work independently, effectively handle multiple competing priorities and manage deadlines under pressure
