Sr. Finance Manager - Gaming Design and Development
Summary
The role is responsible for achieving Aristocrat's objectives and strategies for Design & Development by supporting the Sr. Director Finance - Gaming D&D with ensuring investments are prioritized, financial performance and operational standards are maintained and business benefits delivered. Specifically facilitating end to end business case development and ensuring teams meet their financial commitments. The role is both strategic and operational where the key outcomes are to:
What You'll Do

  • Partner with key stakeholders in the deployment & evaluation of business cases for identified commercial opportunities or strategic needs.
  • Ensure current year financial commitments by continuing to drive the budgeting and planning process to be key driver based, balancing the continuous flow of risks and opportunities. Monitor spending by strategic investments, named functions and by key leader. Foster the need for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a multi-year financial forecast that interlocks the commercial priorities to a 3 year product development roadmap.
  • Manage the portfolio to deliver Expense to Revenue targets.
  • The role considers profitability and returns both within D&D and Aristocrat's operating divisions and helps to provide the link between D&D, product, marketing, systems, and commercial. Enacting the strategic work requires a predictive element as to the risks inherent in the marketplace and underpinning assumptions.
  • Post implementation review of projects (6-9 months post development and commercialization
  • The role also ensures an ongoing drive for continuous improvement of business performance through the provision of accurate financial information and guidance to facilitate sound decision- making.
  • Input into Project Management governance and spend. Support modelling, tracking of actuals, ensure updated forecasts reflected in overall D&D LE's and Plan.
  • Oversee a team of financial analysts including 1 SFA and 2-3 FA
  • Any other ad hoc projects as they arise.


What We're Looking For

  • A bachelor's degree in business or related field is required. MBA or CPA preferred but not required.
  • Understanding of Finance systems. Gaming industry preferred but not required.
  • Excellent business acumen, with the ability to lead discussions with executives to obtain key decisions.
  • Excellent change management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, dynamic matrix environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail/ deadline oriented with effective organizational and analytical and documentation skills.
  • Effective problem solving, process improvement and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Planner, and Outlook. Goal Seek, Crystal Ball, Python, R, Solver preferred but not required.
