We are looking for a strong technical accounting Senior Manager to join our growing high-performing team. This person will prepare and oversee preparation of technical accounting analyses and policies, as well as oversee the preparation and review the SEC filings.

Responsibilities: 

• Prepares and oversee spreparation of technical accounting research, technical accounting memos, and communication of technical accounting conclusions to internal stakeholders and external auditors
• Oversees contract review and evaluation of accounting implications
• Provides interpretation of new GAAP and SEC rules and regulations and their potential effect on the business. Ensures clear and concise written documentation of accounting conclusions and accounting policies
• Trains internal accounting team on technical accounting policies
• Assists with liaising between external experts, audit team, and internal business leaders relating to complex and significant business transactions. Drives the analysis and accounting processes to accurately record these transactions
• Assists in review of quarterly and annual required SEC filings and coordination of filing
• Monitors new accounting pronouncements and SEC disclosure requirements
• Manages ad-hoc special projects relating to technical accounting and SEC reporting

Experience & Skills: 

•  8+ years of relevant experience, including minimum of 5 years in a Big 4 public accounting firm required
• CPA required
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and remote environment
• Direct experience with SEC registrants and technical accounting relating to public company operations preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Able to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong project management skills
• Previous experience with Workiva preferred
