Senior Banking Consultant - New York City, Chicago, or Charlotte 

About the Team:

As a member of the Finance Risk and Controls (FRC) group at Capco, you will be playing a key role in the delivery of projects, working on client site to deliver large-scale change initiatives for leading clients across Financial Services, either within Investment Banking, Retail Banking, Wealth and/or Insurance.  The Capco FRC team is a global team that prides itself on our industry leading expertise regarding strategy and best practices within the Risk advisory space. We are open to individuals with Risk and Controls experience in Financial Services, as well as consultants who have gained Finance experience through their prior engagements.  

 About the Job:

As a Senior Banking Consultant, you will work as part of FRC in a fast-paced team setting, alongside industry experts. Your well-grounded insights will influence actions taken by managers and executives, both proactively and in real-time problem-solving situations, within comprehensive programs. 

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Develop frameworks, approaches, solutions and recommendations that effectively and efficiently address the most impactful opportunities and challenges related to the functioning and transformation of the banking industry
  • Produce insights, analyses and recommendations to improve client performance, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance related to loan products
  • Build new solutions, toolkits, best practice documents, and consulting approaches that can be applied across Capco

What You’ll Bring with You:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in financial/banking services or management consulting
  • Experience drafting memos against project documentation, standards/artifacts, and reviewing companion artifacts and documentation
  • Experience in reviewing regulatory commitments, evaluating the design of the deliverable, and documenting the closure for further review and sign-off by senior management 
  • Ability to understand and learn operational and compliance concepts in a banking environment
  • Experience working within a team, but also able to operate independently and use good judgement in interacting with senior risk and compliance clients
  • Experience with retail and commercial banking processes, operations, and products
  • Familiarity with risk concepts (e.g., operational risk, compliance risk, third party risk) is a plus
  • Ability to effectively lead team members to ensure the completion of project deliverables that exceed client expectations
  • Ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, and communicate effectively/confidently
  • Advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills
  • Bachelor's degree
