Overview
The Financial Planning and Analysis team supports the finance needs of PennyMac's lines of business, corporate departments and executive management, including budgeting, reporting, forecasting and advisory on financial performance. The Senior Analyst role supports the VP of finance by compiling reporting of results for divisional or executive management, preparing budgets or forecasts of financial results, maintaining models to project financial results, application of accounting and financial concepts to perform analysis on current trends of the business and preparing presentations for recurring divisional or executive reviews of financial results.
Job Description

• Participate in the budgeting and forecasting cycles of the company
• Perform analysis on drivers of business line or company level performance
• Compilation and analysis of recurring profit and loss statements
• Identify and research key trends and variances
• Management of complex and intricate Excel-based financial models
• Coordinate with other team members to complete projects and tasks
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Ideal Candidate will have the following:
Skills & Abilities: (Include any required computer skills, regulatory knowledge, certifications, licenses, languages, etc.)

• Must possess an analytical mindset, and strong written and verbal communication skills
• High level of proficiency with financial and statistical concepts
• Mortgage or financial services industry experience a plus, but not required
• Advanced Excel spreadsheet and experience developing financial models
• Knowledge of Oracle or Hyperion a plus
• High level of enthusiasm, innovation and dedication
• Extremely high attention to detail and ability to multi-task
