This position will be responsible for the monthly close process including reconciliations and accruals. It will interface with Payroll, Finance/Reporting, Accounts Payable, and Customer Billing/Accounts Receivable. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with monthly closing processes, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and forecasting.
ACCOUNTANT RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the integrity of accounting information and financial reports.
Maintain various account reconciliations including sales tax, receivables, bank reconciliation, and deferred revenue reconciliation, payroll, and others.
Prepare transactions and financials in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Assist with the annual audit process.Research and analyze expense variances for company management.
Prepare journal entries for month end accruals, and prepaids
Assist Director, Finance & Accounting with ensuring revenue is recognized in accordance with US GAAP and ASC 606 guidelines.
Assist departments with preparing and analyzing budgets on a periodic basis to compare budgeted costs to actual costs
Ensure compliance with sales tax laws in accordance with each state taxing authority. Assist with preparation of sales tax returns on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or five years of experience in direct accounting related roles. Sage Intacct and Google Suite experience preferred. CPA preferred.
