The job

Buildertrend is a rapidly growing vertical market SaaS platform serving the residential construction industry. In addition to the core SaaS offering, the Company is rapidly scaling adjacent product offerings in construction materials management and financial services.

As Buildertrend's Manager of Financial Reporting, you will work cross-functionally with the Companys Finance and Accounting, Legal, and Data Science teams to oversee the external reporting and internal reporting processes and work with the Finance team and outside consultants on special projects.

• Lead the preparation of consolidated monthly internal financial statements and reports including the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, departmental financial information, and financial statement footnotes.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting (i.e., tie out preparation or review).
• Responsible for preparation and/or review of financial information and disclosures in the Company's financial reporting.
• Perform/review complex accounting workstreams (e.g., revenue recognition, business combinations and stock-based compensation accounting)
• Analyze and understand complex accounting standards, perform technical accounting research and prepare accounting memos.
• Prepare and update formal accounting policies and internal controls documentation.
• Play an integral role with the company's annual external financial audit.
• Support additional projects impacting financial reporting or cross functionally as needed.

The preferred candidate

• BS In Accounting or Finance.
• 4-6+ years of public accounting or combination of public and industry experience.
• SEC and/or financial reporting experience
• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge.
