Manager, Finance Business Partner
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is seeking a Finance Manager, based in our Dania Beach, FL location. This is a key leadership position on the finance team, reporting to the Associate Director, Finance and partnering with cross-functional business leaders (VPs and C-Suite of across all departments) to drive business results, building and maintaining various financial models (labor models, NPV, ROI, headcount, etc.,) continuously improving our forecasting and analysis processes, and leading a team of analysts.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain and enhance financial models (labor models, monthly forecasting, NPV, ROI, Payback, etc.) on a monthly basis to improve forecast accuracy
- Work with selected VPs and Directors (HR, Accounting & Finance, Marketing, Customer Service, Facilities, IT, Supply Chain, etc.) to build forecasts and budgets, track performance while explaining variances to plan, identify risks and opportunities, and drive strategic business initiatives to deliver profitability and working capital targets
- Partner with various departments on ad hoc projects and capital expenditure requests to ensure return on investment thresholds are met
- Partner with other Finance team members to improve and streamline team’s processes, deliverables, and timeline
- Collaborate with Accounting to improve analysis and insights and ensure monthly performance is accurately reflected on the company’s financial systems
- Support creation of materials for C-suite, investors, analysts, and Board of Directors
- Analyze data from central databases using SQL queries and Tableau
- Analyze and forecast customer behavior while partnering with Marketing to evaluate return on investment for various initiatives
- Lead a team with direct reports that will own all forecasting, budgeting, and long-range plan initiatives
What You’ll Need:
- BA/BS degree in Finance/Accounting required, Masters highly preferred
- At least 7 years related experience with at least 2 years in a staff leadership function
- Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, and execution-focused
- Experience with SQL coding, Advanced Excel Modeling, Hyperion, Oracle (or other Financial ERP systems), financial reporting systems, and database navigation (or willingness to learn)
- Strong PowerPoint and data visualization skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, SQL, etc.)
- Position may require travel
