International Accounting Manager

About Your Role:
Sendoso is seeking a seasoned Manager of International Accounting to join our fast-paced growing accounting team. In this role, you will work closely with the Controller, Director of Accounting, and our outsourced 3rd party accountants to ensure that intercompany transactions are properly accounted for to support the accuracy of the company’s financial statements.
This position requires a strategic thinker and a leader who will manage all aspects of reporting and analysis, as well as focus on establishing scalable processes for our growing international operations. You are a self-starter, an excellent communicator, and enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is a highly visible role, which creates significant opportunities for learning and growth.
This position will be based in the US.
Who You Are:
- You have thorough knowledge of international accounting requirements and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Extensive experience in managing day-to-day international accounting operations
- Ability to create a network with internal and external contacts, at all levels
- Willingness and ability to adapt to the rapid business and organizational changes in high-growth environments, successfully adjusting priorities.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and verbal & written communication skills.
- Highly analytical and inquisitive with strong attention to detail.
Your Typical Day:
- Manage all aspects of international entities close process including consolidation.
- Review monthly reporting packages and reconciliations prepared by 3rd party outsourced accountants for completeness and reasonableness.
- Analyze intercompany account balances between US and international subsidiaries. Investigate out-of-balance variances and determine correct intercompany journal entries.
- Work with external service providers to meet international regulatory and tax compliance needs including VAT/GST and maintaining proper supporting documentation for local country tax refunds/credits.
- Manage transfer pricing agreements for international subsidiaries including booking transfer pricing entries.
- Oversee international AP, expense reimbursement and payroll activities
- Coordinate between US headquarter and international finance teams to facilitate day-to-day operational needs.
- Work closely with the Controller to manage international treasury including maintaining banking relationships and identifying funding for international entities.
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries to ensure accuracy and timely recording in NetSuite.
- Prepare financial statement flux analysis and monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all international entities.
- Streamline international processes with the goal to close the books on business day 5.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience, with 4-5 years of dealing with international entities and consolidation
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA with Big 4 experience is preferred
- Netsuite (or equivalent ERP) experience is a plus
- High-tech company experience (SaaS/Cloud model preferred)
