Our work depends on a Financial Analyst joining our team to oversee and maintain financial planning, reporting, and analysis for contracts supporting the National Institute of Health (NIH).

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Financial Analyst supporting NIH programs, you will be trusted to perform complex tasks in various financial functions with an emphasis is budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis.

This role will offer full telecommuting option and growth opportunity.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Coordinate with GDIT Contracting staff and the Program Manager to monitor cost, identify related risk and recommend mitigation
  • Coordinate with Program Manager and functional managers, and GDIT Program Analysts to provide input, maintain program information and prepare briefs, suspense responses and charts as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with GDIT finance process and procedures
  • Review and approve for payment subcontractor invoices for accuracy and compliance with subcontract terms and approved labor rates
  • Prepare contract client monthly reports and invoice backup as required
  • Performs complex financial/administrative reporting for major contracts
  • Develop financial controls, procedures, systems and forecasting techniques to evaluate contract/program status and ensure compliance with government and customer requirements
  • Prepare pricing support to programs as required


WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Accounting, Finance, Business, etc.) AND minimum 2 years of relevant experience or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree

  • Experience analyzing financial statements
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills
  • Government contracting experience


WHAT WE'D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE:

  • ORACLE, CostPoint, Hyperion or related systems.
  • Experience with various contract types (T&M, Firm Fixed Price)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Reside in the DC Metro Area
