Little about us:
The Yahoo finance team is seeking a tenacious candidate to support our Advertising Technologies team. This role will be in direct support of our Demand Side Platform (DSP) Sr Finance Manager who oversees a revenue portfolio that generates annual gross revenues exceeding $3B globally.
A lot about you:
This person would be supporting the preparation and reporting of financial results, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, tracking revenue initiatives/headwinds, accuracy assurance, and various other Adhoc tasks. This role requires interaction with key business stakeholders along with the corporate finance leadership team. Strong communication is a must.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of and manage our financial Privacy model. The model tracks respective impacts to our business resulting from changes in the digital advertising landscape due to Browser and Governmental imposed changes related to user privacy.
  • Assist in researching financial and economic trends and developing short and long-term horizon forecasts for various AdTech Product lines.
  • Track and analyze results vs. budgeted revenue and adjust guidance based on relevant trends and business input.
  • Investigate complex variance drivers and communicate opportunities and risks.
  • Gather and analyze appropriate data for monthly or ad hoc financial reports for assigned areas.
  • Conduct frequent reviews with business stakeholders (Sales, Product, Yield) to understand relevant business trends and incorporate changes into the financial forecast. Frequent interaction with senior business leaders and corporate finance leadership team.
  • Occasionally assist with business valuations and risk analysis.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS (Accounting or Finance preferred)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a financial revenue support function. Digital Advertising experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of G-Suite of products including Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
  • Excel expert (lookups, pivots, complex functions/formulas). Competent in creating, updating, and managing complex financial models.
  • Top qualities include exceptional quantitative & analytical skills, reliability, taking initiative, strong work ethic, robust financial modeling and communication skills.
