About the role:

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Business Analytics, Business Analytics Manager, Pricing is responsible for developing and implementing pricing and packaging policies and will work closely across Product Development, Go-to-Market, and the Commercialization organizations to understand the roadmap and define the future packaging/pricing in order to target specific customer segments. Additionally, the role will help design, evaluate and shape new business models that align to evolving market trends and customer needs, and accelerate Foursquare’s growth.


In this role, you will continuously assess pricing and packaging needs of the operating units, define new opportunities for pricing improvement, and conduct customer segmentation, competitive analysis, develop frameworks, and help to define overall Go-to-Market strategies. You will play a highly impactful and visible role in helping influence and shape business strategy at Foursquare!

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Collaborate with leaders in our Product, Marketing, and GTM organizations to help craft new business models, define strategies for new offerings, optimize packaging & pricing for existing offers, and drive overall monetization as aligned with our vision and company’s growth goals
  • Evaluate business cases for various pricing scenarios, quantify potential P&L impacts, and perform sensitivity analyses to drive agile business decisions
  • Conduct market research on competitors in similar and adjacent markets and maintain pulse on prevailing/winning internal and external pricing approaches, monetization trends, and offering types / benchmarks 
  • Assist in the design and implementation of tests for various pricing & packaging hypotheses and presenting results to executives to gain alignment on pricing recommendations

Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years of total professional experience with a core focus in Pricing, Strategic Planning, and/or Product Strategy
  • Prior experience in Management Consulting, Private Equity or Strategy / Business Operations experience in high growth Software, Platform and/or SaaS environments highly preferred
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, detail-oriented, project management skills and effectively work with cross-functional teams including Product, Finance, Sales, Legal
  • Highly organized with ability to balance multiple projects and priorities and effectively communicate goals and objectives
  • Proficiency with Excel / GSheets, experience in analyzing complex data sets, and familiarity with common BI Tools / languages (e.g. SQL, Tableau, etc.)
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or other quantitative discipline

Nice to have:

  • Fluency in relevant corporate finance, financial operations, and accounting concepts - i.e Quote-to-cash, revenue recognition rules, etc.
  • Experience with value based pricing approach and pricing research / analytical methodologies
  • MBA or Master's degree in a management, scientific, technical or engineering field
