Johns Hopkins Community Physicians is looking for an Asst. Director of Finance to join our team! The Asst. Director of Finance reports to the Director of Finance. This position will be responsible for the development of financial analysis and decision support analytic reports and tools. The position will also support business development and planning in conjunction with the Director of Finance through preparation of business plans and business analytics. In addition, the position will have primary responsibility for the reporting and production functions for JHCP's Primary Care Line of Business. It involves close collaboration with Operational and Clinical leadership to identify and quantify opportunities for improvements in financial performance and value analytics and will require developing an in-depth knowledge of operations and effective working relationships with practice leadership and physicians. This position will work with all levels of JHCP staff and leadership as well as with our JHM partners in areas such as provider compensation, benchmarking, key performance indicators, the MD PCP program, financial reporting and systems, financial analysis and business planning.

Status: Exempt, Full-time - 40 hours per week

Requirement:

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or healthcare administration/informatics; a Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of health care finances with a focus on budgeting, business planning and forecasting, profitability analysis and revenue cycle as it relates to physician group practices. Knowledge and understanding around physician group compensation programs and contract analysis. Expert level of knowledge of database concepts and software, advanced query and report design in Access and Excel using tools such as macros and advanced formulas to manipulate data and create reports.Experience with the EPSi budgeting system is highly desirable as well as Tableau reporting software and exposure to industry benchmarking and other tools (MGMA, AAMC etc.).
• Five to ten years related financial experience. Additional education may be substituted for some experience. Experience in the use of financial software applications, databases, and spreadsheets is required. Experience in project management and use of SAP, EPSi and Tableau is preferred.
