Associate Financial Analyst

The Novelis North America (NNA) Finance team is looking for an Associate Financial Analyst. The primary function of the Financial Analyst is to assist the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, NNA and Vice President, Operations, NNA in forecasting, budgeting and analysis required to support NNA's objectives and build shareholder value.
Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze actual SG&A results, monthly forecasts and annual budgets
• Closely work with each department lead to understand variances
• Assist management in annual planning and monthly forecasting for SG&A
• Gain a comprehensive knowledge of the SG&A cost drivers to better support initiatives
• Maintain and improve analytical models that utilize both financial and non-financial data to forecast and analyze results
• Participate in cross-functional business projects as needed
• Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements
• Drive corrections and improvements with all systems including SAP

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum one year of experience in financial planning, forecasting and analysis
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong analytical skills in business performance metrics are required
• Financial modeling experience is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to think independently
• Creative and innovative team player with a positive approach
• Willingness to take on additional projects
• Ability to build professional relationships at all Novelis locations in North America
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines with emphasis on sustained accuracy and attention to detail
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must
• Experience with Hyperion, SAP and Access preferred

Location Profile

Novelis' Global Corporate Headquarters is located in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta Georgia and employs approximately 250 people. It is co-located with Novelis' North America regional office which employs approximately 225 people. Supporting its 24 operations worldwide Novelis' corporate office is home to the executive leadership team and global functions that support the automotive beverage can and high-end specialties value streams.
