Job Title: Accounting Specialist- Accounts Payable

Location: Omaha

Reporting to: Accounting Manager

Essential Job Functions:

• Accounts payable and non-PO entry/coding/vendor calls and research
• Works with purchasing on POs, receipts and reconciliations
• Prepares weekly expense numbers and packaging report
• Month End Accruals and Journal Entries
• Account Reconciliations as needed
• Helps with budget research
• Various Daily and Weekly Reports
• Back up for Fab Yields and other duties needed
• Back-up for cattle checks and reconciliation
• Other Duties as assigned

Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or 3-4 years of Accounting Experience
• Experience working in meat or food processing industry preferred but not required
• Experience working in SAP systems preferred but not required

Skills/Abilities Required:

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, namely Excel
• Must be able to multi task and possess strong detail oriented analytical abilities
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
