The Position:
Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Record and review monthly revenue recognition. Ensure compliance with revenue recognition rules (ASC606).
• Managing monthly commission expense calculation in accordance with ASC606.
• Participate in various accounting system automation and enhancement projects including implementing ARM (Advanced Revenue Management) software.
• Generate the monthly customer invoices which includes ensuring all employee time entry is completed and approved.
• Manage sales tax, payroll tax and other tax compliance. This will include reviewing monthly sales tax returns in Avalara (sales tax software) and reconciling the sales tax payable account.
• Other responsibilities may include recording cash receipts and cash disbursements as needed.
• Support external auditors with audit requests
• Various Ad-Hoc projects based on the Company's needs

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 2-3 years' hands on experience with revenue accounting in a SaaS environment
• 4-5 years of accounting/auditing experience
• Experience in public accounting Big 4 a plus
• Advanced knowledge of applying US GAAP software revenue accounting guidelines in accordance with ASC 606
• Extremely proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Applications
• Strong ability to pay attention to detail and perform tasks accurately
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, time management, and prioritization skills
• Must be a team player and be able to effectively interact with staff at all levels
