About the Role:
We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join the Finance team under the Accounting organization. This is a new role that will report into the Controller and will continue to grow our Accounting function. You will work on all aspects of accounting and month-end close to continue expanding and diversifying your skillset, with a specific emphasis on new business launches.
You will be responsible for a range of US GAAP accounting and various accounting processes, with a specific emphasis on capitalized software, international accounting, and stock-based compensation. The successful candidate will be exceptional at handling multiple priorities, communicating with different levels of the organization, taking initiative, and reimagining successful accounting and operational processes.
What you'll do:
- Play a key role in the month-end close process by preparing and reviewing account reconciliations, keeping team priorities on track and working across the organization to obtain relevant information.
- Assist in implementing and upleveling our accounting policies and procedures to ensure all financial transactions are accounted for in accordance with GAAP principles
- Understand the Company product offerings, including accounting implications for new verticals and other technical accounting concepts for various transactions
- Work closely with Strategic Finance during month-end close to communicate the "why" behind actuals to compare to budgets and forecasts
- Provide written reporting for the executive team on key transactions and monthly financial recaps
- Play a key role in the implementation of NetSuite through partnership with our Finance Transformation team
- Own areas of the year-end financial statement audit to ensure a smooth and timely process
What you've done and enjoy doing:
- Relevant work experience, preferably a mix of in-house accounting at a fast-paced company and public accounting
- Previous experience executing a month-end close is preferred, including performance of account reconciliations and posting / reviewing monthly journal entries to properly record accounting transactions
- Strong knowledge of the concepts and application of US GAAP
- Exceptional documentation skills, both process and technical accounting documentation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; collaborative working style; able to build trusted relationships with all cross-functional business partners
- Self-starter, inquisitive nature, attention to detail, diligence, work ethic, a learning mindset, positive attitude, and willingness to embrace unstructured environments and challenges
- Ability to work independently, effectively handle multiple competing priorities and manage deadlines under pressure
- Experience with Quickbooks, NetSuite, and Salesforce
- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA required

The base salary for this role is: $125,000.00
