About the Team
VIZIO's Finance & Accounting team is seeking an Accounting Manager (Corporate) to join our growing team. This position will be directly responsible for managing the day-to-day finance and accounting functions for the Company's Platform+ team.
What You Will Do

    \n
  • Responsible for General Accounting, including, but not limited to: Revenue recognition, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • \n

  • Support of equity, stock based compensation and payroll processes.
  • \n

  • Hiring, training, and development of Accounting Team members.
  • \n

  • Management and measurement of day-to-day performance to expectations.
  • \n

  • Communicating, reviewing, and tracking KPIs, dashboards, and analytics to measure and improve performance.
  • \n

  • Ensure accuracy in the month-end close process. Specifically, ensuring monthly journals are recorded accurately, GL accounts are properly, and timely reconciled, and related monthly financial analyses are performed. Variances noted while reconciling accounts must be properly investigated and documented.
  • \n

  • Conduct a monthly detailed review of all balance sheet accounts assigned, escalating any major issues to help mitigate financial risk for the company.
  • \n

  • Assess the Company's current General Ledger Accounting policies and procedures, and ensure such P&Ps are adequate and when necessary, propose recommendations for improvement.
  • \n

  • Ensure policies and procedures pertaining to General Ledger Accounting are executed in ways that are consistent with U.S. GAAP, and company policies.
  • \n

  • Manage performance & related issues and lead process evolution, harmonization, and efficiencies.
  • \n

  • Foster a strong customer service culture to ensure a quality service is delivered internally.
  • \n

  • Manages and administers controls and compliance, assists with both internal and external audits to ensure complete, timely, and accurate responses to information requests.
  • \n

  • Partner with internal departments such as Corporate and BU Finance, Treasury, and Tax.
  • \n

  • Verify all entries are made in accordance with GAAP, and any specific contractual terms.
  • \n

  • Define, Implement, execute, and support process improvement and change management to share best practices across departments and organization.
  • \n

  • Assist with special accounting and business-related projects as requested.
  • \n


About You

    \n
  • Bachelor's degree required; concentration in Accounting or Finance required; MBA degree or candidate preferred.
  • \n

  • CPA license and public experience preferred (Big 4).
  • \n

  • Consulting experience required (Large Consulting Firm).
  • \n

  • 8+ years of accounting experience.
  • \n

  • 3+ years of management experience; corporate setting experience preferred.
  • \n

  • SAP experience preferred.
  • \n

  • Technical knowledge or experience with solid understanding of GAAP; IFRS experience preferred.
  • \n

  • Strong technical skills, with Excel capabilities.
  • \n

  • Proven ability to work under pressure, exercising good judgment. Ability to handle conflict and resolve uncomfortable situations.
  • \n

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • \n

  • Strong business partnering and interpersonal skills.
  • \n

  • Organized, flexible and easily adaptable to changing conditions.
  • \n

  • Ability to work well in high pressure situations in order to meet deadlines.
  • \n

  • Ability to multi-task and manage numerous simultaneous priorities.
  • \n

  • High energy, ownership of work and dedication and commitment to driving results.
  • \n

  • Must be good team leader and team player.
  • \n
