SUMMARY:

Lockton Affinity, located in Overland Park, is seeking a Premium Payables Analyst to join our Accounting team. The Premium Payables Analyst will prepare complex premium payable reports with high volume transactions customized to support carrier contracts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares Account Current and Premium Bordereaux reports
• Ensures accuracy of commission rates
• Reconcile Premium to carrier statutory coding and resolve differences
• Reconciles, flags and balances premium Payables General Ledger monthly
• Ensures accurate and timely payment of premiums to carriers
• Responsible for Carrier statement and item basis for select carriers
• Responsible to backup other Premium Payables in the department
• Other duties as assigned to meet business needs

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent education/experience
• Insurance industry experience preferred
• Strong technical ability including advanced Excel skills
• Able to prioritize heavy, time sensitive workloads with the ability to meet aggressive deadlines
• High degree of professional communication and tactful negotiation skills with the personal presence to interface with all levels of associates
