Chewy is seeking graduating MBA students to join our merchandising and healthcare teams as Senior Category Managers at our headquarters in sunny Dania Beach, FL. As a Senior Category Manager, you'll own a multi-million dollar P&L for one of Chewy's emerging or mature categories--negotiating to improve business terms and margin against category and company goals, directly managing high profile vendor relationships, developing and executing category business strategies, and actively identifying opportunities to scale your business. You've been building your analytical, critical thinking and organizational theory muscles during b-school. What You'll Do 

As a Senior Category Manager, you’ll act as an owner on Day 1, making critical decisions in a fast-paced environment where your opinions and ideas are welcomed. You’ll work with a cross-functional team of entrepreneurs to bring the Chewy experience to life by placing the customer’s needs first and creating a best in class experience for pet parents everywhere. You’ll become a category subject matter expert and thought leader, have immediate visibility to senior leadership and the ability to drive your ideas forward. Opportunities for SCMs span multiple categories across Consumables, Hardgoods, Healthcare, Specialty Pet, and Private Brands. 

While no two days at Chewy look the same, you can expect to: 

• Own complete profit & loss management, including improvement of business terms and margin against category and company goals.
• Establish, build, and manage strong external vendor relationships, including ownership across all negotiations.
• Identify opportunities within your category to optimize and maximize product performance, including analyzing sales data, assortment gaps, and market trends to make quick, effective decisions for your business.
• Build and analyze sales, margin, and customer performance metrics, successfully gleaning insights to drive effective and meaningful strategy.
• Work collaboratively across cross-functional teams including finance, marketing, supply chain, pricing, content, and operations.

What You'll Need 

• Current enrollment in an MBA program with a graduation date of no later than June 2022
• 4-6 years of relevant, post-Bachelor's experience in: Merchandising, Business, eCommerce, Technology, Finance, Product Management, Category Management, Consulting, or related field 
• Passion for innovation and ability to drive strategies to completion
• Demonstrated experience in negotiations and presentations to senior stakeholders
• Proficiency in Excel and strong knowledge of retail math. SQL a plus
• Ability to lead, be nimble, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Current permanent U.S. work authorization without future sponsorship
