About the Role
Antithesis is looking for an Accounting Operations Manager to build and run the operational backbone of our finance function. You'll own the systems, workflows, and controls that sit underneath our accounting work — making sure close runs smoothly, data is reliable, and the team can scale without adding headcount proportionally.
This role is for someone who sees process as leverage. You should be equally comfortable in the weeds of an ERP configuration and presenting a controls framework to leadership. We're in the office daily in Vienna, VA.
What you'll do
Run accounting side of our scale-up program, including owning the roadmap, sequencing, and delivery of systems and process projects (think intake, scoping, milestones, etc.)
Drive and manage the global expansion of accounting and finance functions, ensuring successful operations during rapid company growth across
Design and document accounting workflows, controls, and policies
Partner with finance, engineering, and ops to source and implement new tools and processes as the business grows
Drive automation across the accounting and finance function, from operations to reporting
Build audit readiness infrastructure
Identify and resolve bottlenecks in how accounting work gets done
What we're looking for
5+ years in accounting operations, finance systems, or a accounting-adjacent role
CPA preferred
PMO experience
PMP certified
International experience - including multi-entity and multi-currency configuration
Hands-on experience with ERP administration, ideally NetSuite or Sage Intact
Strong understanding of GAAP and how accounting principles translate into system design
Track record of building processes and controls in a fast-moving environment
Analytically sharp with the ability to think in systems, not just tasks
Comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams
High ownership orientation; you treat the accounting infrastructure as yours to improve
Skills Required
- 5+ years of experience in accounting operations, finance systems, or a controller-adjacent role
- Hands-on experience with ERP administration, ideally NetSuite
- Strong understanding of GAAP and translating accounting principles into system design
- Experience building processes and controls in a fast-moving environment
- Strong analytical and systems-thinking abilities
- Ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
- High ownership orientation and willingness to improve accounting infrastructure
