Do work that matters

The ERP Squad within Global Finance Systems and Control is responsible for delivering and maintaining core financial systems and services that support Group-wide operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • ERP Platform Management: Overseeing the delivery and ongoing operation of the Group-wide ERP platform to ensure stability, performance, and alignment with business needs.
     
  • Application Stewardship: Managing various applications on behalf of Group Procurement and Group Property, ensuring they meet operational and strategic requirements.
     
  • Reporting Support: Providing system and operational support to the Group Costing & Profitability Reporting teams.
     
  • Finance Operations Services: Delivering finance operations, payroll-related reconciliations, and interface control services for multiple Business Units across the Bank

This role reports to the Chapter Lead – General Ledger Platforms. It will include the below tasks:

  • Execute daily operational tasks to ensure the ERP platform remains “Open for Business.”
  • Monitor system and business outages, providing timely updates to relevant stakeholder groups.
  • Conduct initial triage and analysis of potential business issues and system defects.
  • Investigate root causes of General Ledger (GL) suspense entries and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Perform routine business maintenance activities within the ERP platform to support financial operations.
  • Analyse data across Finance Systems platforms to identify problems, anticipate risks, and uncover opportunities for improvement.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with operational activities.
  • Provide business support on the ERP platform to stakeholder groups, escalating to subject matter experts (SMEs) when necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operational workflows and issue resolution.
  • Assist Finance Systems Specialists with functional and solution design activities.
  • Recommend alternative approaches that align with operational business processes and enhance system efficiency.

We’re interested in hearing from people who have

  • Basic understanding of ERP platforms (e.g., PeopleSoft Financials, Oracle EPM) is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends or anomalies.
  • Familiarity with Excel and data tools; exposure to SQL or reporting tools is a plus.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills to engage with stakeholders across finance and technology teams.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to collaborative problem-solving.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and processes, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • A curious and humble mindset, open to feedback and new ideas.

  • Demonstrated initiative and a desire to make a meaningful impact through your work.

This role is ideally suited to recent university graduates with a strong interest in finance systems and technology in one of the following fields:

  • Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Analytics or Computer Science
  • An internship or project experience in financial systems or business process improvement would be highly desirable.
