Job Title
Finance Summer InternWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern emphasizing in Accounting and Finance to join our Family Office. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of finance and accounting within a dynamic and supportive environment. Assisting with accounts payable/receivable, cash, debt, financial reporting and trial balances, operations metrics and analysis, special projects and so much more!
Responsibilities:
- Learn and assist with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, including invoice processing, supplier setup, and payment run cycles
- Learn and participate in financial reporting and analysis, including reviewing AR aging reports, bank wire logs, and financial scorecards
- Learn and run operations dashboards to review stand-alone metrics for supply chain, scrap, inventory, on time delivery, quality, gross margin etc.
- Support the preparation of financial packets and trial balances for various entities
- Perform cash reconciliations, bank deposits, and journal entries
- Collaborate with the finance team on special projects, such as capital lookback analysis and material utilization calculations
- Learn and apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in daily tasks
- Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and procedures
- Assist with debt compliance, deferred comp and other various tasks
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Positive attitude
