We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic part-time Finance Student Assistant to join our team at Worksome. As an innovative and growing company, we offer an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to thrive in a dynamic environment. This is an in-office role that will offer 15-20 hours per week (2-3 days per week). You will work closely with our Finance team and report directly to the VP of Finance, playing a big role in building and evolving our finance function. We are dedicated to developing a lean and efficient finance machine without the constraints of legacy processes. To be successful in this role, you should possess stellar skills and have an ambitious yet humble attitude to help us capture the global freelance work market. Key Responsibilities
You will support us in our financial accounting across all our international entities, ensuring fast, accurate, and reliable accounting and reporting processes across the group. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing invoicing activities
- Assisting with accounts receivables management
- Assistance with month-end and year-end procedures
- Ongoing optimization and automation of bookkeeping and accounting processes
- Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting
- Other weekly and monthly finance tasks
About You
- Currently studying a Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Accounting/Economics or a related field
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Structured and detail-oriented
- Self-driven and wanting to take ownership
- Proficiency in Excel is a bonus
