The position
As Finance Partner in Development Finance, you will be responsible for the financial management and value creation of an area within the Development EVP area (R&D).
The role entails a broad range of responsibilities, such as:

  • Financial planning, resource allocation and budgeting
  • Financial reporting to senior management
  • Financial controlling
  • Providing input to and challenging business cases
  • Creating transparency and financial insights for decision making
  • Collaboration and sparring with stakeholders in Development


Furthermore, you will be involved in various projects as well as preparing ad-hoc analyses for stakeholders in both the Development organisation (R&D) and in Business Finance.
This is a great opportunity to get a deep understanding of the R&D value chain, get insights into the strategic priorities in R&D, interact with stakeholders across the organisation and to strengthen your finance toolbox.
Qualifications
To succeed in the role, the following qualifications are required:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Financial Controlling, Finance partnering or other relevant finance positions
  • Strong analytical skills, always keeping the overall purpose in mind
  • Ability to communicate clear and precise with stakeholders at all levels in the organisation
  • Self-driven and ability to work independently
  • Good collaboration skills
  • Experience with MS Excel and Power Point
  • Basic SAP knowledge is an advantage
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written

About the department
Development Finance is part of Novo Nordisk Business Finance and is responsible for the financial management of the Development organisation (R&D) and clinical as well as digital projects in our pipeline. When joining Development Finance, you will be part of a great team consisting of 11 dedicated employees in Denmark, supported by colleagues from Global Business Services in India.
The atmosphere in the Development Finance team is informal and builds on a strong team spirit. We invest significant resources in developing our employees through close sparring, frequent feedback and by giving inspiring tasks and a high degree of responsibility.
